We are a very social bunch, and organized events run throughout the year. The following is a list of our main events. Some are restricted to club members only, and all will be posted in advance, so keep an eye out for notification of sign ups and registration on our News & Updates blog.
Annual Season Opener
Craft Beer and Bratwurst at Coast Outdoors. Bring your friends, as we welcome the ski season and learn about upcoming winter activities, meet the executive and get together with old friends and new. This is free, and membership is not required to attend.
Silverstar Trip and Banquet
Kick off the season right with lots of skiing, and mark your calendars for November 29 - December 1. This is also our biggest social event of the year, with as much as four days of skiing, a banquet, yoga and hot-tubbing to get you tuned up, ready to ski and meet other club members. Full details will be announced for registration and accommodation
Every Wednesday, apres-ski, meet other skiers and enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate (for members), at Cypress Lodge. At the end of the season, we really ramp up the calories, for a grand finale potluck style Dessert Night. This is one giant yum !
Season Wrap-up and Awards
Come to a local restaurant or brew pub for fun awards and dinner out, to look back on the good times over the season. Everyone pays for their own meals - date and location will be announced at the end of the season.
Annual General Meeting
Have a say in the direction of the Nordic Racers. We’ll discuss upcoming activities, financials, trips and social events and review the last season. All executive positions are open for election, so come out and vote, or even better, get onto the executive and support your club and sport. You must be a member to attend. Free, casual meal included (pizza or bbq) with beer or wine.
Potluck style summer bbq held at sheltered picnic area. We bring the burgers, you bring the rest. Not restricted to members only, so bring your friends.
