Get ready for snow and fun! This is Nordic Racers’ largest and most popular trip. This year we take over Silver Star on December 2-4 (Friday-Saturday nights), with an optional extra night, Thursday December 1.
New for this year will be a deluxe banquet buffet served at the Chilcoot Conference Center at Silver Star on Saturday evening. This dinner replaces the traditional Saturday potluck dinner and the price is included in the price of your accommodation.
For those of you who haven’t been to Silver Star, this is the don't-miss event of the season, with shared accommodation in deluxe, on-mountain chalets, and instruction with experienced coaches at our Ski Camp.
Silver Star is known across North America for some of the best early season conditions on the planet. The mountain gets 700 cm of dry, cold, crisp, exquisitely crystalline snow annually. (Some years, your wax kit comprises one tube -- extra blue).
With all that snow, they maintain 60 km of gorgeous trails, for every level of skier. There is even lift access to the peak that links to another 40 km of trails at Sovereign Lake .
For those of you who have been there, two words – Lars Taylor. Six km of perfectly tracked powder, a screaming, tears-in-your-eyes downhill run that will put a smile on your face for a week. If you haven’t been there, you have a treat in store.
Register before November 10 for the early-bird rate of $155 for two nights or $205 for three nights of accommodation. Prices increase by $40 and registration closes November 21. Accommodations sells out every year so please beware of waiting to the last minute as you might be out of luck! The housing prices for the trip are pre-season, group-discounted rates and reflect the direct cost to the club. In other words, the club makes no profit on housing. Within a week of the trip an e-mail will be sent to all registrants with room and house assignments and car pool information.
Continuing this year for singles --- based on members' feedback we are leaving empty beds in the singles rooms to make the accommodations for singles more comfortable. A reminder that pets are not allowed.

There will be NO REFUNDS for cancelling accommodation unless your bed can be resold to another club member. Refunds are subject to a 10% administrative fee.
Ski Passes
New this year, we have arranged group discount dual mountain passes for $14. Click here to purchase one, two, or three day passes. You MUST purchase a pass if you are taking the SilverStar camp on Saturday, it is not included in the camp price. If you do not purchase a group discount pass, you will be required to purchase a full price pass on Saturday morning at the ticket booth.
Silver Star Ski Camp 2011
Along with the Silver Star ski trip, the Nordic Racers will also hold a full-day ski camp on Saturday, December 3. Skiers of all fitness and ability levels can sign up for quality instruction in skating, classic, or both. There are classes for complete beginners, novice, intermediate and advanced skiers.
Learn the fundamentals, refresh the basics, correct all those bad habits, or fine tune your advanced skills. The team of experienced coaches will give you lots to work on for the rest of the season.
Register by November 10 and you get the early-bird rate of only $65 for a full day of lessons. This price is reduced to reflect it is not including the trail pass this year. You must purchase all trail passes on your own this year (they will be waiting for you at SilverStar). We’ve arranged a discount, group rate, dual mountain pass for $14, so your total cost is $78 at the early bird rate. Click here to purchase the pass.

Refunds are provided before the earlybird deadline minus a 10% administrative charge (i.e. Zone 4 and credit card fees). Registrations are transferable to other club members, some restrictions may apply. After the earlybird deadline the price increases by $40.
