We have booked accommodation in the Whistler Athlete Centre (the former Athlete’s village) located at Function Junction, 10 minutes north of the turnoff to Callaghan Valley.
We have booked a combination of townhouses and dorm rooms for the following dates: January 27-29, 2012 and February 17-19, 2012. It's two nights, Friday and Saturday nights. We will offer a small beginner level workshop on one day each weekend, and video analysis sessions for more experienced skiers.
Just like the Silver Star Camp, accommodation and camp registrations are separate and you can sign up for one or the other or both. Trail passes are not included. Car pool information will be sent out the week before the event. Zone 4 signup will be available soon. No refunds. You must be a member to sign up. To join the NR click here.
Accommodation
There are two styles of accommodations: dorm rooms and townhouses. There are no queen beds folks (in either the dorms or the townhouses), it’s all single style accommodation, but we can put couples in the same rooms if you let us know who you’re with. As the dorms do not currently have kitchen access (although this is under construction, we can’t guarantee when it will be available) we ask that those in townhouses share their kitchen facility with those in the dorms.
The townhouses are quite close to the dorm buildings and other user groups have told us this arrangement has worked well for them. Those in the dorms, we suggest you bring a cooler with milk and yoghurt and fruit and stuff to make sandwiches, and it should all work out. There is hot food at Callaghan for lunch and Creekside is nearby if you want to just zip out for a coffee or hot things.
We are also planning a potluck for the Saturday night dinner, so sharing shouldn’t be a problem.
There is a firm and early deadline of 30 days prior as we must confirm the registration bookings or release the rooms. The townhouses are slightly more expensive than the dorm rooms as they have more space. The cost reflects the costs to the club to provide the accommodation. Townhomes are $110 per person, dorms are $80per person for two nights.
We’ve been able to reduce the price of the dorm rooms from $50 to $40, based on double occupancy. So the price for the townhouse rooms will remain at $55 per person per night, and the dorm rooms are now $40 per person per night.

The deadline to sign up for the January accommodation is December 28 and January 17 for the February accomodation – any unsold beds after that date will be released, so don’t delay or you will miss out.
